How dance studio floors are built to give dance performances a new look
More than 50 dance studios in the US have been bought by progressive dance studios.
The owners are working on a new generation of dance floors that would help give dance artists the flexibility to do more than just perform, the BBC reports.
“They’ve been doing a great job for the last 30 years,” said DJ Kool A.M. of KoolA.
M Studio, which owns the floors.
“They’ve really made dance floors a lot more interesting.”
The company is planning to expand the floors with a “fancy house” dance floor and an industrial design floor.
“This is not just about dance floors,” Kool said.
“This is about making dance floors more interesting and more sustainable.”
KoolA, which has a team of more than 100 people, plans to build more than 50 floors by the end of the year.
The company has been working on the project for more than two years and says the floors have a unique, yet contemporary look.
“It’s an architectural work of art,” said Aimee Hochman, who has been an artist for 40 years.
“The design team is a little different from the rest of the building, which is not a bad thing.
It’s about making a work of beauty, not just of elegance.”
Aimee has worked at a number of dance studios and says it’s a great opportunity for the dance community.
“We’re very fortunate that we have this space that’s really going to allow us to work on the floor,” she said.
“So we’re looking forward to being here and working with them for many years to come.”
This is the third major floor that the Kool Studio has bought.
The company plans to expand on its current floor to include new flooring.
