How to make a dreamy dance studio
Allegro Dance Studios are set to transform into a stunning dance studio in Dublin next month with the opening of their new location on the Dublin West Side.
The studio, which will feature a number of new high-tech equipment and dance floors, will be a key part of the company’s grand opening.
Allegro are a team of seven dancers and designers who have worked together since 2011.
They are based in Dublin’s historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which has been used for hundreds of years as a dance space and is home to the city’s oldest and most celebrated dance studio.
The space will feature large glass and metal screens, a new bar and an open floor plan with two large dance floors.
Allegros team have been creating and creating dance spaces for years and are looking to make the best of what they have.
Ahead of the grand opening, Allegrothes team were recently invited to attend a meeting at the Abbey Theatre, which is also in the former St Patrick’s cathedral, where they learned about the new space.
“We were blown away by the amount of energy that we are going to be able to bring to this space,” Allegron said.
“The Abbey is going to open with an open space so that the dancers can have a space that is going for something unique and exciting, and not just be sitting on a couch and watching a movie.”
I think that’s what we’re going to try and do, is create a space where we can take this kind of space and put a new vision of dance in it.
“When you look at the old dance space, there is so much technology and there is not much space to create new dance spaces and create new experiences.
We want to make it a space to be open, not just to sit in a chair and watch movies.”
What we’re really trying to do is to take the old space and make it into a space for creating a new kind of dance space that’s going to have a new feel and a new look and a fresh sound.
“The company will also be using the space to open a new venue, called Dance House, to cater for the growing number of dance studios and events taking place across the city.
Alleluys owners will have a special focus on the building, which they believe will help to ensure that the new venue has the best dance space available.”
Allegros plans for the new dance space include: a dance floor that will be 100 per cent open to the public, a private bar, a stage and bar area with new seating and a rooftop terrace. “
This is where we’re gonna be bringing our people and the staff that we need to be creating the best space possible.”

Allelluys plans also includes a new DJ booth and more space for the dance floors to be used for live performances.
“There’s no doubt that this will be the most beautiful space in Dublin,” Allemos said.
