Disney and Pixar to Collaborate on ‘Pixar-Inspired’ Animated Feature ‘The Legend of Tarzan’
A new animated feature from Pixar is coming to Disney and Disney Animation Studios.
The Legend of a Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will be released this summer and features voice talent from the original animated series, according to The Walt Disney Co. The animated film follows a pony named Rarity, a unicorn named Spike, a blue unicorn named Pinkie Pie, a pink unicorn named Rainbow Dash, and a blue and purple unicorn named Fluttershy.
Disney has not announced a release date.
The project will also feature voice talent that will be voiced by the voice cast of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which premiered in 1991.
The new film will star Disney’s Tarzan, who was first introduced in 1989 and is one of the most popular characters in the animated series.
Disney’s other Pixar film, Finding Dory, is also due out in summer 2018.
