How to beat a city dance party
The most popular dance venue in New York is a bar that boasts a “wedding party” on the first night of every month.
Now, the bar’s owners are taking aim at another bar that was once the venue of choice for many weddings in New Jersey: the dance studio.
A local bar owner is now fighting a lawsuit filed by two of his customers in state Supreme Court after a video surfaced online of the couple dancing in the bar during a wedding reception.
In the video, the couple are seen in the venue’s main room at the bar, where they are seated.
After the reception, the woman dances to the music of the club DJ and the man dances to a DJ’s remix of the band’s “We’re In This Together.”
The video is the latest in a series of similar videos from local wedding parties showing couples dancing to music at a bar.
But this time, the dance party footage has caused an uproar, with both sides accusing the other of copyright infringement.
The bar owners, whose names were redacted in the video by the law firm that filed the suit, have accused the dancers of using the venue as a venue for an unauthorized dance party.
They also claim that the video is misleading and could damage their reputation.
The city’s Department of Cultural Affairs says the video shows that dancing to the dance-friendly music is not an illegal activity.
